The minimal requirements for the course are classical field theory, in
particular gauge theory with Non-Abelian gauge groups. In the second
half of the semester, quantum effects in supersymmetric theories will be
discussed, so some knowledge of such effects in non-supersymmetric
quantum field theory will be very useful.
