[s18] Fortgeschrittene Computerintensive Methoden (Scheipl)

The lecture deals with theoretical and practical concepts from the fields of statistical learning and machine learning. The main focus is on predictive modeling. The bi-weekly tutorial applies these concepts and methods to real examples for illustration purposes. You are expected to work through the exercises for the tutorials. They will typically consist proofs of theory, implementation of algorithms in R or Python.

• Die Vorlesung ist auf Deutsch, mit englischen Folien.
• The exercise/Übung/tutorial will be taught in English. All materials will be in English.
  
• The exercise/Übung/tutorial on 19.04.2018 and 14.06.2018 are Thursdays instead of normal Wednesday.
• The lecture and exercise for the last week might be interchanged.
