Using best practices in online teaching
The corona crisis has forced many instructors to create online courses in a short period of time. But there is a difference between remote emergency teaching and quality online learning. With so much digital material now created and still being creating, what do we do when we return to our classrooms? How can we take advantage of our current effort and better prepare for future, in order to digitally revamp our courses faster and more efficiently?
In this workshop, we will discuss how to design a flipped classroom in a didactically meaningful way. We will predict challenges that may arise for students and instructors and how to manage them. In addition, we will review what methods can be used, and which tools are suitable. Based on the experience instructors have gained with classical classroom teaching and pure online courses, you will develop and test innovative methods and tools for the further development of your own courses.
