Seminar: species diversity and evolution of lichen-forming fungi.
3 SWS, 3 ECTS points. For all students of
biology (bachelor, master's, teachers). Language: German or English on
demand. Students will aquire knowledge about lichen diversity and evolution by preparing presentations which are held online. The seminar will be held on several consecutive days in the middle of the semester.
The aim of this course is to obtain knowledge about the diversity and evolution of lichens.
Learning outcomes
Students get an overview of the most important groups of
lichen-forming fungi.
Moreover, they obtain an overview of common lichens in different habitats.
