Climate change is one of the most prominent topics of the current public debate. The United Nations recognised the importance of this issue and finally adopted 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in 2015, which were signed by all member states. All SDGs are interconnected and actions regarding individual goals affect others. The basis of most if not all of these goals is green and ensures that the planetary boundaries are respected. Universities have a major responsibility in providing solutions and eduction necessary for reaching these goals. Teaching of SDG-relevant subject areas and defining clear action plans is thus an aim that we pursue here at the LMU.
